Lauren Wolf is a Co-Founder and Managing Member of Sullivan Wolf Kailus LLC, a boutique, women-owned law firm founded in 2012. Ms. Wolf advises and represents clients in the alternative asset management industry in connection with hedge funds, commodity pools, funds of hedge funds, managed accounts, private equity funds, and other products and structures. She advises clients on a wide range of securities, derivatives, and futures-related regulatory and corporate matters for these products, including fund formation, corporate governance, and compliance issues. Her primary focus is on structuring and documentation for fund of funds investments, managed account platforms, single-investor and special opportunity funds, co-investment opportunities, and hybrid committed capital funds. In connection with this work, Ms. Wolf assists her clients extensively with drafting and review of offering documents, structuring for tax and ERISA considerations, and side letter and ancillary agreement review and negotiation. She also advises clients on matters ranging from credit facilities and financing transactions to seed deals and fund restructurings.Prior to co-founding SWK in April 2012, Ms. Wolf worked for five years in the Investment Funds, Advisers and Derivatives group at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago. During her time there, her clients primarily included large investment banks, fund of hedge funds managers, commodity trading advisors, and direct trading hedge fund managers based in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Ms. Wolf earned her B.A. cum laude from New York University in New York City, New York and her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin where she was a Note and Comment Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review.
