Hi! My name is Lauren. I was born in South Africa but moved to the UK when I was 10 years old. I studied Physiotherapy at Oxford Brookes University where I received a 1st class Honours degree in 2006. From there, I worked for the NHS for 8 years before moving into a split role between the NHS and private sector.My current role in the NHS is Lead Physiotherapist in the staff health & wellbeing department at Kingston Hospital where I work to improve the wellbeing of staff through a holistic model of care. I also work 2 days a week at LETO and Beyond Health treating a mix of Women's Health and MSK patients as well as teaching Pilates. I love my work and I am passionate about holistic health & wellbeing. Within my Physiotherapy practice I treat a range of musculoskeletal injuries, but have a special interest in sports injuries, peripheral joints such as the shoulder, knee and foot/ankle and postoperative care. I am also Acupuncture trained and a qualified Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI). I work in Women’s health helping treat females struggling with urinary incontinence, prolapse, bladder or bowel issues or post-natal care offering a full Mummy MOT. In addition to this I will soon be a qualified Health Coach with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) which will enable me to help clients work towards their health goals in a very holistic way looking at mind, body and spirit. I also host wellness events which I love. These combine three of my favourite things; movement, delicious food and learning.
