-Function autonomously in a busy urgent care office as the only provider-Patients are diagnosed with and treated for various medical problems including: upper respiratory infections, skin infections, fractures, sprains, lacerations, urinary tract infections, STDs and pain management-Document each patient encounter efficiently and accurately with billing and ICD-9 codes-Laboratory and imaging tests are ordered and interpreted-Perform the following basic procedures: incision and drainage, laceration repair, removal of lesions, toenail removal, cerumen removal, local anesthetics, pelvic exams, pregnancy test, cultures, splinting, wrapping, casting, wound management, removal of sutures/staples and phlebotomy-Knowledge of drugs and their indications, dosing, side effects and proper administration-Patient satisfaction is prioritized with each encounter by having open communication and compassion

-Function autonomously in a busy primary care office-Independently see patients for annual physicals, upper respiratory infections, pain management, urinary tract infections, diabetes, hypertension and various other problems-Efficiently and accurately document each visit through electronic medical records (EMR)-Order and interpret laboratory and imaging tests-Perform the following basic procedures: diabetic foot care, incision and drainage, laceration repair, removal of lesions, toenail removal, cerumen removal, local anesthetics, pap and pelvic exams, pregnancy test, cultures, splinting, wrapping, casting, wound management, removal of sutures/staples and phlebotomy-Counsel and educate patients regarding smoking cessation, nutrition, weight loss, fitness/exercise, anxiety and depression-Knowledge of drugs and their indications, dosing, side effects and proper administration-Demonstrate compassion and strong communication skills through conveying medical information to other practitioners and/or general public and educated patients and families as to the nature of disease, proper instructions on management and treatment
