Prior to opening the Law Office of Lauren B. Browne LLC, Ms. Browne served as an extern with the Honorable Gregory Alarcon of the Los Angeles Superior Court, Central District. Ms. Browne assisted with the Court’s daily law and motion calendar, trial calendar, and prepared recommended rulings for the Court.In 2007, Ms. Browne joined the law firm of Stearns Kim & Stearns in Torrance, California. At Stearns, Ms. Browne litigated both family law and civil cases throughout Southern California, from a custody dispute to multi-million dollar divorces. As one example of a civil case that Ms. Browne litigated, she successfully defended a multi-million dollar class action suit in Federal Court that was dismissed due to lack of personal jurisdiction. In addition to litigating, Ms. Browne served as a mediator in multiple family law cases reaching favorable outcomes to the parties and their families.After several years of practicing family law, Ms. Browne is very sensitive to the unique nature of each client’s personal matter. She understands that the stress of a divorce or custody dispute is only magnified when the case cannot be resolved without court intervention. That is why Ms. Browne believes it is of the upmost importance to give each client’s case the attention it deserves, develop a case management plan to achieve the client’s goals, while setting realistic expectations. In California, Ms. Browne volunteered at the Los Angeles County Domestic Violence Clinic, assisting clients with their requests for domestic violence orders. In Jackson, Ms. Browne devotes time to the Teton County Access to Justice Center, providing legal assistance to low income families. In addition to being published in the National Association of Administrative Law Judges, Ms. Browne has also been published on the blog, “The Ninth,” tracking 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decisions, and has written family law articles for several online publications.

I am attorney admitted to both the California and Wyoming Bars. With my extensive background in family law and civil litigation, I offer my services to other attorneys in need of an "extra set of hands." I edit briefs, prepare discovery, draft motions and declarations, and conduct legal research. I also consult on business issues, such as preparing a contract or an LLC.I am also a legal writer for Demand Media Studios, and a contract attorney with Teton County Access to Justice Center.

I practice family law and general civil litigation. I handle cases from intake to judgment and tried multiple bench trials. I have also successfully mediated family law matters and have reached numerous favorable settlements for my clients. I have litigated unlawful detainer actions, breach of contract actions, and probate actions.
