I am responsible for a team of 12 Associates manufacturing wood parts for assembly into finished motor cars. Required to prioritise work to meet production targets and take the initiative in solving production problems. • Monitor and develop the processes within the Production Zone to improve efficiency and performance continuously. • Plan, adjust and monitor sequence and production line for orders which require deviations from standard processes.• Schedule Wood sets into production which require bespoke features and have greater throughput times without losing lacquered part throughput.• Ensure work in the Process Zone is carried out according to defined processes.• Liaise with internal departments to ensure availability of parts and expected delivery time to each area. • Improve the standard processes in the Process Zone on a continuous basis.• Communicate production and quality status to associates, Process Leader and Process Manager.• Ensure that all parts do not miss POF and are available for delivery to assembly line, sub-assemblies and the Leathershop.• Daily use of WQT & SAP (BMW software) Microsoft Office and various tracking systems.• Negotiate timely output from supporting production areas to maintain production flow to relevant volume and quality targets. • Solve localised problems related to process and production quality and escalate unresolved or more complex issues to Process Leader to initiate support.• Direct local process improvement activities according to VPS principles.• Support process sequence changes (line balancing) to meet production targets.• Observe processes to inform process improvements through chalk circles and video recorded observations.• Oversee the stock of completed car wood sets, ensuring any late parts are chased up through the appropriate channels and escalating when the agreed time frames have been exceeded.

Inspect and report on all defects related to the wood trim for Phantom, Ghost and Wraith. Experienced in measuring tolerances and reading part drawings. Using SAP and PPZ for both reporting and controlling of issued carsets. Now taken control of all consumable stock for lacquering, sanding and polishing including chemicals. Monthly budget of approx £25,000.Previous to this I was in Logistics for the leathershop.
