Led staff of 17 in administrative, logistical, training & healthcare case management for over 200 Wounded, Ill & Injured sailors from 50+ Navy Operational Support/Reserve Centers (NOSCs) nationwide, to include planning, coordination & execution of 29,000 patient berthing nights, 15,000 medical appointments, 1,400 travel claims, 800 room inspections & transportation to 7,500+ medical & V.A. appointments all while passing multiple DoD & Naval Medicine inspections.- Provided oversight, administration & guidance of staff/employee & patient relations, performance management, awards, training & development, ensuring unit training readiness percentages at 95% or higher, comparable to the highest of any/all NOSCs in the country.- Researched, prepared, consolidated data, text & supporting analyses for varied correspondence and/or reporting requirements, including reports to Congress, congressional testimony/inquiries & other Wounded Warrior related tasking.- Monitored, adjusted military & civilian staff assignments to ensure efficient workload distribution & maximum use of employee knowledge, skills & abilities consistent with organizational mission/objectives.- Initiated outreach programs in support of patients & their families (e.g. the Wounded Warrior Education & Employment Initiative serving in support of DoD's Office of Warrior Care Policy, as well as guidance/support/training provided by Fleet & Family Support Centers).- Effectively built relationships, maneuvered across diverse & complex programs, organizational levels, functions & people-related organizational dynamics.- Assessed, improved program management processes, policies: rewrote unit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & initiated case-by-case critical path prioritization of medical treatment & Physical Evaluation Board scheduling resulting in 20% decrease in length of time to reach service members’ disability determinations &/or recovery & return to service, their families & their communities.
