My charter was to design and implement strategies to significantly grow the bank through diversification and organic growth, while managing costs and internal bank investment. With dedicated and competent teams, we focused on growth areas including mortgage-backed securities, real estate and commercial lending.In summary, I led higher than expected growth, steadily and responsibly while President. Results included: doubling assets from $250 million to $500 million; opening a new lending office and astutely recruiting and mentoring a team of high-performing business development officers; building a MBS portfolio from scratch and delivered a $200 million portfolio and repositioning of cash and treasury assets into $100 million worth of quality commercial loans with no material losses. After decades of success, helping build and grow communities, and surviving the crush of the financial crisis, we determined an exit strategy was in order. I led the due diligence and negotiations of the Bank to Provident in 2012.
