We are offering companies a one stop shop for the cycle to work scheme since 2009 and you can see more details in my previous experience below. In 2016 we launched the www.TaxFreeCommuter.ie platform where it is also a one stop shop for commuter tickets. Similar to the Government Taxsaver Scheme we offer tickets for Irish Rail, Dublin Bus, Bus Eireann and the Luas. However, unlike the Taxsaver scheme we also offer employees and addition at present 14 private bus companies to commute to work with. Also with TaxfreeCommuter it is the employee who inputs the information to order their tickets. The employer simply ticks a box at the end of the month to approve the tickets saving valuable time.We offer this as a FREE service to employers. When the Government introduced the cycle to work scheme in Ireland in January 2009 Eurotrek Raleigh contact me in Spain to ask me if I would set-up and run a scheme for them. Eurotrek is a wholesale supplier of bicycles in Ireland dealing with around 180 shops nationwide. We created a scheme called Raleigh2work which would act as an intermediary between large companies and bike shops. This would mean that the employees could go to any of the 180 shops nationwide and the company would only need to deal with me. I started the business and when I was leaving after two and a half years it was one of the main players in this market.

I set-up and ran my own estate agency in Spain with my wife Aileen. I quickly adapted to the lifestyle there and learned the laws and procedures related to real estate. I also learned the language and mixed in with the locals to maximise our client base.The business was very successful with a lot of our business coming to us through recommendations of previous clients. Although property is not the same as office supplies, I was still dealing with a product and a customer. I made sure the customer had the best experience and reduced the stress of buying a house to an absolute minimum.

I was responsible for managing and winning large corporate accounts for Lyreco Ireland (office supplies company). I concentrated on the public sector however I also managed some customers in the private sector. I really enjoyed working there and I stayed with the company for four years until I received the chance to move to Spain to set up my own business.

Responsible for researching and developing new systems and procedures within the company. Some of my projects were implementing a stock control system for a product range of 2500 products in diverse categories.
