Laurence recently wrote, produced and directed FREEMAN (ABC tv + iview) which was the most watched documentary of 2020 on Australian TV. Her latest feature film, THE GIANTS - the extraordinary life of environmental folk hero and gay icon Bob Brown intertwined with the story of Australia's giant trees - is out in April 2023. She is the recipient of the Betty Roland Prize for Scriptwriting at the 2021 NSW Premier Literary Awards.In a world where stories are everything, Laurence helped turn global brands such as Lonely Planet and Elite Models into cross-media storytelling organisations through the creation of their own TV shows, online video channels, editorial websites and social media. A creative with acute business skills, she developed, financed and produced multiple TV shows and webseries that screened on platforms such as National Geographic, Discovery, Eurosport, SBS, Vice, i-D, Facebook and Youku. She was in fact the first producer worldwide to secure original commissions from US digital platforms Hulu and Al Gore's Current TV. More recently she staged large-scale fashion and music events across China and Europe for which she experimented with giant screens video.
