Laurence Dean Ifill began his journey in the entertainment industry as Bronco, one of the original cast members of the award winning Degrassi High series. Dean transitioned as an actor to larger notable productions including several Emmy award winning projects including: “Livin’ for Love: The Natalie Cole Story”, “Common Ground”, and the animated Walt Disney television Series “Get Ed”. Dean also worked on television series such as “Liberty Street” and “The Eleventh Hour”. Dean’s passion extends to active social betterment of youth through offering inclusive environments by advocating creative projects with a global mindset. From 1999 to 2006 Dean worked with youth focused productions with organizations such as Soul Pepper, bcurrent, ArtStarts, Shakesperience and The ACTOUT Project. During 2006, Dean worked with St. Alban’s Boys’ & Girls’ Club as Creative Director and established arts programs. The multidisciplinary arts blueprint created as a pilot program for the sports driven organization is still being applied and implemented in Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs across Canada one club at a time, enabling and empowering children, youth and young adults in high priority neighborhoods. At the time of this program growth, Facebook was just on the horizon of social media, Twitter just hatched, Kickstarter wasn’t around and YouTube and Myspace were at the centre of social media. Dean guided youth on a pragmatic journey where the group began to share their final musical creations amongst other clubs and musicians around the globe in a grassroots 2006 social media campaign. With Dean’s background in entertainment and moving in stride with the digital space, his current focus is in the Interactive Media Management sector. Dean produces cutting edge multi-platform projects for companies that contract the boutique entertainment company sheVISIONS, to assist in establishing, building brand recognition and setting creative trends around the globe.
