Principal Telecommunications Engineer for the QCLNG Gas Project. This was a 20 Billion dollar project with 24 gas compression site, distributed geographically over part of the Surat valley in Queensland Australia. My role for the first 18 months was on the client side as part of the Telecommunications design team, where I worked on all aspects of the design for the Fibre optical system with about 3000km of fibre, seven telecommunications tower sites with towers from 65 to 90m, a Tetra radio system designed to give radio coverage over the project. The project included a microwave system which provides a backup service for the fibre backbone. This microwave system was extended for the construction phase to provide remote communications to all sites. The design and construction included PAGA, Access control, CCTV for each of 24 gas compression sites. The last two years was in the field as Lead Telecom construction Engineer, covering execution, QA, and completion.
