Graduate of New York University – Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness.The decision to transition out of hospitality and into mental health services transpired at a very challenging, yet opportune time - months prior to the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, I rapidly developed and advanced in my hospitality career. After earning my MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School in 2016, I was recruited by Marriott International and quickly promoted during the Starwood Hotels acquisition. In 2018, I joined Highgate Hotels to develop and implement unique programming and brand partnerships across U.S. properties.Mental health has been at the forefront during the last four years; the widespread effects from the pandemic have created an increase in demand for therapeutic services and mental health professionals. I am grateful to have the opportunity to enter this field at such a critical time in our modern history when services are most needed.
