Programme and Policy Officer in the Fleming Fund team within the Global Health Security Programme. Supporting delivery of a large scale complex programme to tackle antimicrobial resistance in low- and middle-income countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, South and South-East Asia. Responsibilities included:• Project manager responsible for the Vietnam Pilot Project and the Commonwealth Partnerships for Antimicrobial Stewardship Project across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana.• Negotiation and management of memorandums of understanding, grants and contracts across the fund.• Monitoring and evaluation lead, built and maintained the programme’s complexity-sensitive monitoring system and adaptive management plans. This included being a quality assurance mechanism for the work produced by the independent evaluator. • Communications lead, developed and implemented a communications plan for internal and external audiences. • Lead the development and maintenance of an independent website (www.flemingfund.org). • Policy lead for antimicrobial stewardship, researching scientific evidence, trends and priorities surrounding antibiotic stewardship across human and animal health sectors to inform the fund strategy.
