In my current role, I design and develop in-house exhibitions. This includes research, exhibition development, exhibition text writing, project management, graphic integration, A/V concepts and integration, concept renderings, and documentation packages for in-house and outsourced build. Additionally, I create layouts and design supplemental components for rented exhibitions as needed.I collaborate with external partners such as artists and lenders of objects and images, including initial/ongoing communication, facilitating MOUs, artwork selection, artwork creation, condition reporting, and coordinating installation.Graphics, media, and UX:I create digital and print graphics as needed, including presentations for exhibition kickoffs, board meetings, and all-staff meetings. In collaboration with our media specialist and senior graphic designer, I contribute to UX and graphic approach for interactive media. I collaborate with our media specialist on direction and scripts for exhibition-related video projects.I support Senior Director of Creative Development and Partnership and VP of Experience and Engagement with project management, research, program integration, exhibition development, and other tasks as needed.Other duties as assigned: gallery preparation, receipt and return of artworks, shepherding MOUs and artifact loans, condition reporting, object handling and mounting, exhibition and graphic installation, diorama renovation, soundscape creation, and unusual other tasks with care and good humor.

At the Academy, I design in-house exhibitions, both permanent and temporary. For larger exhibitions, I work in a collaborative team environment to develop both content and designs, occasionally in concert with third party contractors and firms. For pop-up case displays, I sometimes take on many responsibilities including project management, research, writing, layout, and installation.In addition to in-house design, I create layouts and design supplemental components for traveling exhibitions. I also assist with overflow graphic design as needed. I participate in various committees (exhibit planning, evaluation, equality and inclusion, and sustainability). Designed temporary exhibitions, contributed to schematic design, and created floor plans for various installations and re-installations. Illustrated the children's tour of "Secrets of the Silk Road." Designed murals, 3D sets, produced and installed graphics, and assisted with exhibit installation and graphic design for labels, brochures, and takeaway pieces, as needed.
