Engineering Camp Charlotte is a Summer Camp program for grades K-12. Each week is designated a theme based around the different disciplines of Engineering, with daily activities ranging in complexity for each age group.Throughout the summer I taught the five-step Engineering Design Process to middle and high school students for five weeks. Introduced 3 daily challenges for the students to problem-solve with the limited materials given. Ensured the safety of 10-20 students during scheduled activities.

The Summer Start Program is a five week program for incoming first year NC State students. Summer Start provides an opportunity for students to get to know the campus and classes before their first full semester. As part of Summer Start students receive a mentor to guide them through this all important transition.I built a rapport with 14 incoming first year students. Facilitated weekly one-on-one meetings, guiding them through the important transition into NC State. Created a sense of community by collaborating with campus partners and peers to organize events for 200+ students.

A nonprofit organization partnering with 150 schools within the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) system. Through the generosity of leaders and corporate supporters, E2D receives donated computers, refurbishes and provides them to CMS families at a reduced price.As a Senior Lab Technician I was hands-on in the refurbishment and reimaging process of computers donated by corporate partners. Helped train new employees in the steps to the computer rehabilitation process. Assisted in 20+ community wide distributions, of over 500 computers each, to low income families in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area.
