Communication with clients was an essential part of my day-to-day role at RyTech, named one of Inc. Magazine's Fastest Growing Private Midwestern Companies in 2023.Being able to fully understand client needs, why and how it will impact their business, and then communicating those pieces to the internal team at RyTech was essential for success. Acclimated 160 first-year students and guests over two summers to Loyola University Chicago throughout 14 orientation programs by mentoring small groups, facilitating connections and assisting with class registration; connecting to campus resources, and introducing to campus traditions and Jesuit values. In my second summer, I was promoted to Returner Orientation Leader, where I gained more leadership responsibilities and managed a small group of new Orientation Leaders for the duration of the summer.

Office Of First And Second Year Advising

As a Peer Advisor, I acted as a mentor to incoming freshmen students at Loyola University Chicago. I met once a week with three sections of University 101 Freshman Seminar classes and their respective Academic Advisor. Together, we would teach the students about how to successfully transition to college. Responsibilities included creating presentations that accurately and creatively conveyed mundane material. Additional duties included holding weekly office hours to further assist students with their social and emotional hurdles.

Gift Wrapper: Responsible for wrapping gifts in a timely fashion while customers wait, keeping track of stock and call numbers in a high-pressured situation. Customer service is the first concern, and demanded good organizational skills and quick response time. Professionalism and attention to detail are extremely important to the Von Maur corporation.

Swim Instructor: Responsible for management of children, 4-12 years old, instructing them in basics of swimming, while keeping safety in mind. Also interacted with parents and supervisors in a positive way to gain respect and trust. Guest Service: Duties included cleaning of deck and bathrooms and tending to the patrons at the various slides and diving boards. Rule enforcement was the main focus in order to keep patrons safe. Customer service was of the utmost importance.
