Charged by the president and the Board of Regents of the University of Texas System, the 40 members of the Staff Senate represent all administrative areas of the university and serve as an advisory body, making recommendations to the president regarding the interests and concerns of staff. In addition, the senate coordinates staff appreciation awards and events and provides scholarships for eligible staff pursuing degrees at the university.

With this promotion, my duties have been refined to include:-Develops and manages the scheduling of programs and special events related to COS undergraduate studies and student success-Develops and manage the production of and facilitates the review and approval of program materials ensuring quality and timelines are maintained, including undergraduate curriculum, experiential learning programs, academic policies, scholarships, student success initiatives and other programs relating to undergraduate students across the College-Manages student workflow, including forms, student and alumni tracking, and scholarships-Serves as ex officio member and secretary for College committees related to undergraduate studies and student success-Assists COS units in undergraduate program-related assessment, accreditation, and evaluation activities-Interfaces with COS Student Success Center, Advising Offices, and other university units related to undergraduate studies and student success-Supervises staff and student workers programs and special events related to COS undergraduate studies and student success-Performs other duties as assigned

As Program Manager, I oversee administration of scholarships awarded in the College of Sciences, implement initiatives for first-year and first-generation students, collaborate with internal COS offices and external constituents to increase recruitment of students to COS, and support the Associate Dean in curriculum/catalog and policy matters.

My colleague departed for a new position and I took on this role in addition to my (still current) Undergraduate Studies position. During my 1.5 years as Interim, I reviewed and processed graduate student paperwork for 7 College of Sciences departments, evaluated processes for improvement, established an MS TEAM to increase communication and collaboration with department-level administrators, and standardized and updated College-specific student forms. I also worked closely with colleagues in The Graduate School, Registrar's Office, and Graduation Coordination to ensure that COS department administrators and Undergraduate Advisors of Record, and MS/PhD students were supported.

My primary responsibility was to provide career development and job search services to UTSA students and alumni within the College of Business. This includes resume reviews, mock interviews, and major/career exploration. Additionally, identifying and marketing job opportunities to COB students is also a priority.

As an Independent Beauty Consultant, I helped women and men find their inner beauty, confidence, and self-esteem.

As SACUCCA Treasurer, I was responsible for reporting at meetings on the state of the organization's finances. - Track credits, debits, interest earned, and overall balances- Ensure that all bills are paid on time and in full, including payments for website hosting, student scholarships, catering for meetings and events, and others when needed. - Contract with a company to prepare the yearly tax assessments in March- Track and manage registration payments and sponsorship payments for the annual Drive-In Conference
