Lead our team in strategic, creative, and results-driven endeavors to advance KU’s mission, honor its tradition, and deepen the understanding of what it means to be a Jayhawk.Spearheaded development and manage continual evaluation and evolution of KU brand strategy: its positioning, platform, and campus-wide adoption.Oversee the development, execution, and evaluation of strategic marketing efforts for KU objectives, particularly those in recruitment and brand development. Lead the creation of comprehensive strategic plans that persuade prospective students to choose KU, recently resulting in our second-largest and most academically talented and diverse incoming class. Develop and manage operations and media budgets, using our resources wisely to meet business objectives and invest in our team’s development. Successfully demonstrate ROI and advocate for budget increases to support key university initiatives.Facilitate evaluation and development of internal workflow, time-tracking, and budgeting processes for project, team, and partner (client) management. Continue to successfully support and motivate staff through changes in organizational structure, goals, budgets, and office spaces — and a global pandemic. Cultivate strong, positive working relationships with colleagues, KU partners, industry peers, and vendors.Supervise senior leadership team. Oversee management, mentorship, and professional development of KU Marketing staff.
