In understanding the feeling of isolation that comes with being thousands of miles away from your alma mater or an institution you hold dear to your heart, my ultimate goal is to ensure our Buffs and “adopted” Buffs feel seen, heard and energized about CU Boulder, even from afar. Of utmost importance, it is critical to me that the establishment of these relationships lead our community to feel more engaged with the business school and allows them to fulfill their philanthropic goals through support of our students, faculty and programs. Notable FY ‘21 - ‘22 Accomplishments:• Raised $2,371,245 during FY ‘21-’22, which is 1581% above total dollars raised metric goal for Associate Director at CU Boulder. • Went 300% over metric goal for submitted $100K proposals and 133% over metric goal for donor visits. • Staffed our Chancellor, Dean and Vice Chancellor for Advancement on multiple occasions as stewardship visits for my principal gift donors or in strategic effort to move along gift proposals.

The Evans Scholars Foundation serves as one of the most recognized and prestigious non-profit organization’s in the nation – sending high-achieving caddies with limited financial needs to college on full tuition and housing scholarships since 1930. My role is focused on using creative ideology to develop strategic roadmaps for events and fundraising initiatives that drive revenue expectations to fruition, establish environments where new prospective donors and supporters feel welcomed, as well as leverage our existing community in unique ways to keep them engaged and included in all different areas of our Program.

As a freelancer for the M3 Group, a full-service branding and advertising agency based in Lansing, Michigan, I wrote articles for their publication, the Greater Lansing Business Monthly (40,000 per month readership), by performing research, interviewing local business executives and contacting appropriate news sources based upon assigned or chosen topic.

Participated as a sales and business development fellow in Victory Lap's first virtual cohort. The virtual bootcamp provided 40+ hours of sales training, over the course of four weeks. Our cohort had the pleasure of learning from numerous, top-performing sales leaders on how to take a modern-day approach to effective understanding and communication throughout all stages of today’s sales process. Upon graduating from the virtual bootcamp, Victory Lap taught me how to build blocks for a strong sales foundation, how to communicate effectively as a salesperson, and the importance of certain tactical sales applications.

Worked as a freelance writer and designer for Open Slate Communications, a strategic public relations & marketing firm in the commercial real estate, investment and financial services space. My projects included but were not limited to redesigning news articles and press releases for website publishing, writing blog posts for the OSC website, designing brochures and flyers for pitches to OSC clients and updating and re-crafting OSC quarterly reports.

As their first-ever marketing intern, I was able to explore and put into play my own strategic and creative communication tactics to shed more light on all of the amazing things Forest Akers Golf Course was up to. In using InDesign, Photoshop and iMovie, I crafted website videos for new and continuing golf programs, as well as wrote and designed newsletters, e-blasts and informational booklets.

As a Student Outreach Intern in MSUCOM’s Business Office, I aided in the communication, planning and organization of Pre-College Programs (i.e. OsteoCHAMPS, FutureDOcs, Osteopathic Medical Scholars). These programs helped middle school students, high school students and undergraduates to learn about the possibility of attending medical school. For each program, I also assisted in determining applicant admission, managed all catering needs and handled administrative tasks.

Was selected to serve as a “Phonathon Intern” within the Evans Scholars Foundation’s development department. During my time, I worked remotely using a telecommunications platform to call Evans Scholars Alumni in efforts to gain support through gifts and pledges, as well as maintain and update their contact information. Generated $8,550 in gifts in 2015 (received major gift of $2,500), and $5,975 in 2016.

In working closely with The Tapco Group’s head of marketing and lead project manager, I helped to update website content, completed competitive research on local competitors, wrote product descriptions for company’s marketing brochures, coordinated video shoots and wrote scripts for product marketing videos, and assisted in design of the sale department’s “product-wall”.
