During my time at school, studying subjects like art history, landscape architecture, evolution, and ecology provided me with an extensive and unrestricted education. I have since graduated, but I will always be a student because I enjoy learning from others. With a major in Environmental Science at the University of Oregon, I studied a variety of sciences and applied my new knowledge to the field. On a study abroad program in Northern Australia, I participated with a small team to learn tropical and reef ecology. Our rigorous education involved research projects with data collection and presentations. As a participant in the Environmental Leadership Program at the UO, I learned restoration techniques and have increased my scientific writing and analyses. Visit my website to learn more about the work of the 2020 Riparian Restoration Team. https://blogs.uoregon.edu/riparianrestoration2020/Outside of academics, I have volunteered with Marin General Hospital and at the Cascade Raptor Center in Eugene, Oregon as part of the Animal Care Team. My passions include fighting climate change, promoting wildlife conservation, and education. In my free time, I enjoy listening to podcasts, reading, and baking things that are way out of my realm of capabilities.
