Lauren Fryer has worked across multiple facets of communications over 25 years of her professional career. Lauren is MUSE's Founder and CEO for almost 14 years now. Lauren has worked with the leaders in media including CNN, BBC, Time Warner, Network Ten and ITP Publishing while based in Melbourne, London, Dubai, Qatar and now Monaco. Lauren began her career in the throes of television, working in the sales and marketing team executing TV campaigns across a wide range of multinational clients. Lauren then moved to publishing, working with some of the world’s biggest magazine titles including TIME Magazine, People and InStyle. On moving to London, Lauren then joined the internal communications team at BBC before moving back to Turner Broadcasting, working with CNN in their Digital Marketing team. In 2007, Lauren joined ITP Publishing in Dubai, part of the launch team for Harper's Bazaar Magazine for the Middle East before moving to Qatar into the world of hospitality. Establishing MUSE (previously known as Qanect) in 2010, Lauren and her team have quickly grown the agency to a full-service marketing and communications agency, now in 5 countries including Qatar, Egypt, KSA, Monaco and London, working across a variety of sectors, offering a diverse list of services. This has allowed Lauren and MUSE to deliver the best in strategic planning and implementation of creative and impactful marketing and communication campaigns. In 2019, Lauren established her second company, Qanect Publishing, set to release a portfolio of magazines and guidebooks including Festival Magazine, a shopping and lifestyle magazine for Doha Festival City. Sitting on a number of boards, including recently appointed to the Strategy Board for MEPRA, and taking instrumental roles with numerous organisations, Lauren not only spearheads the ongoing development of MUSE but also the marketing and communications industry across the Middle East.
