I am an occupational therapist practicing in pelvic health (pediatrics and adults). I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with both mother and baby/child following birth and through childhood and adolescence. I enjoy teaching “body literacy” to teens and helping to ensure optimal pelvic health from potty training age on through adulthood. My doctoral capstone was spent studying postpartum care around the world, the consequences of neglected care, and defining OT’s role with the postpartum population. This research led to the creation of 4thTrimesterOT.com, a website and brand aimed at educating patients, referring providers, and other healthcare professionals on the benefits OT can provide this population to improve postpartum care.I have completed additional pelvic floor training through online and live courses and am currently working towards my Certified Breastfeeding Specialist certification. Throughout my post-baccalaureate career, I have held numerous leadership positions, including ownership of a FIT4MOM franchise, causing substantial growth in my expertise and devotion to helping others in critical times of their lives, including the role transition to motherhood.
