I continue to lead the expansion of our National Endowment for the Arts funded evaluation program – creating and implementing tools and organizational capacity to measure impact of arts education on current Newark students. Further, we developed a training program that shows how arts education can support Newark’s trauma-impacted youth. Additionally, we continue to serve our more than 90 stakeholders with professional development, advocacy support, and direct communications through our website, social media, and Arts Ed Newark Ambassadors. I analyzed grant proposals and budgets and conducted site visits across arts, education, environment, community development and youth and family funding areas. I provided the Board of Trustees with grant recommendations and managed research and data for strategic planning and other foundation needs. I liaised with the foundation’s evaluation and data partners for better understanding of organizational impact.

In my earlier role at the Foundation, I provided administrative support to the executive director and program staff.

Leadership Newark is a 2-year fellowship program for qualified professionals committed to the Greater Newark community. The program provides a forum for emerging leaders to debate and discuss public policy issues as they move towards developing solutions and potential programs which could better the community. While the fellowship ended in September 2014, I continue to support the organization.

I assisted PSEG with Gifts6 grants management and processing procedures, supported improvement of clarity in application guidelines through web-based communication, and managed the PSEG 2011 Environmental Education Grant cycle.

Worked on behalf of Dr. Joel Caplan, Rutgers University, as a GIS consultant and helped to create spatial map of educational grant recipients in Newark.
