Funny story, I started MOON MOUNTAIN DESIGN STUDIO because I was forced to. I was responsible for leading a team of licensed Massage Therapists through positive influence, development, and mentorship to ensure the highest standards of guest service.Essential Job Functions:- Effectively interview and select staff in partnership with Spa Management.- Create a meaningful work environment that minimizes turnover and maximizes retention.- Effectively train staff so that they are able to consistently provide service that meets the resort's service standards.- Hold staff accountable to the policies and procedures of the hotel.- Mentor, coach, and provide regular performance feedback; conduct annual performance reviews.- Conduct Massage Therapist meetings and attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings/product and modality trainings.- Review and complete all opening and closing procedures and individual responsibilities.- Ensure all treatments are performed according to current protocols.- Maintain overall cleanliness of work area and submit work orders to Engineering when needed.- Provide client follow-up when appropriate — explain products used and application of home care.- Assist in creating new treatments and monthly specials.- Build sales/revenue by actively working to build a clientele and improve guest retention.- Communicate ordering needs to Spa Management.
