- Assisted Matias Carrasco Kind at NCSA on improving user experience on new Dark Energy Survey internal team interface by writing instructions for and demonstrating proper use of the interface. Features included queries to the database, retrieving cutout images and FITS files, and showing how the internal JupyterLab environment worked. - Developed additional features to use with Carrasco Kind's project jjs9, a Jupyter wrapper for Dr. Eric Mandel's astronomical imaging API JS9. Added calculations and class functions that streamlined getting imaging data and identified bugs in the JS9 code. Wrapped up project by assembling a user guide for added features of jjs9 so that DES team members can use it to streamline their research. - Created python and tornado powered API that works in tandem with deep learning modules Keras and Tensorflow to match galaxy images from a database to an input image by vectorizing and sorting them. Received award for Best Poster when presenting this project at NCSA's Women in Data Science Conference. - Currently expanding and improving software package used to view and classify galaxy images through an asynchronous web application.

- Planned, executed, and analyzed multiple High-Altitude Balloon missions. Was in charge of the safety and behavior of the middle school and high school participants along the way, as well as supplying them with entertainment and encouragement and getting them excited about science, engineering, and astronomy. - Lead high school students through a rigorous three week research project that included C coding, small electronics, 3D design, and a comprehensive research presentation. Helped them through designing their own high altitude ballooning projects, testing and construction, gathering data, and analysis.- Developed a python program that analyzed and plotted all data from the on-board computer of Far Horizons flights, that included location data, humidity, temperature, and three dimensional acceleration.
