Hi! My name is Lauren Head and I recently completed my Master of Arts in in Twentieth and Twenty-First Century Literature from Durham University. After spending the last several years studying what makes contemporary writing effective, I am extremely passionate about producing quality texts that make a profound impact on their readership.I have collaborated with teams to edit and publish fiction books, theatre scripts, and PhD and Master’s level dissertations. I’ve also written and published several academic and creative works of my own, and seek to help others do the same. I’m skilled in construction and revision of text, promotion of work through social media outreach, and managing effective editorial teams.I have worked as the Vice President of Recruitment for the Beta Xi chapter of Alpha Epsilon Phi, through which I gained experience in leadership, social media promotion, and community outreach. I also served as the undergraduate representative for the college of English at Texas A&M, as well as the MA English representative at Durham University where I had the opportunity to relay student and faculty feedback to the department and contribute to the selection of award and scholarship recipients based upon writing submissions.I have directed two shows under my own theatre company, Starfire Theatre Co., with great success. Through this experience, I have improved my skills in script editing, management of production teams, and budget organization and direction. I’m currently seeking jobs in Austin beginning in October of 2024, and hope to be a positive contribution to your team through writing and editing!
