As the MBA Strategy Intern with LensCrafters, I worked to identify opportunity areas within LensCrafters stores for improvements in operational efficiencies at the management level. I built a database of store management operational practices and conducted time studies to identify potential opportunities for improvements in store management procedures. I then administered a survey to store managers and analyzed data to pinpoint high impact opportunities for creating greater operational efficiencies and ultimately a more positive customer experience. Using findings from time studies, survey data, and interviews, I developed a strategy for creating efficiencies within brand-wide communications with a goal of impacting upwards of 900 stores.

New York, Ny

As the HR manager, I managed the New York Human Resources Team responsible for four restaurants and two nightclubs for a leading hospitality group with annual revenues in excess of 300 million. I also implemented new tracking technology to ensure compliance with the Health Care Reform Act and the Paid Sick Leave Act and developed a formalized recruitment plan including outreach programs with local universities to promote the Tao brand, resulting in higher quality candidates and lower job advertisement costs.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming

I guided 13 teens through the Wyoming wilderness, teaching them leadership, teamwork, navigation and survival skills. My co-leader and I managed a tight trip budget while maintaining high quality participant experience. We also communicated with subcontractors and the Wilderness Ventures office to ensure safety and overall trip structure.

As the project manager for the implementation of the travel and reimbursement software Concur, I coordinated communication and deliverables between the Knight Foundation and the software provider (Concur). I also led weekly Status Report meetings for which I created a project timeline, status reports and a communication plan. This implementation resulted in a more efficient reimbursement process and less time spent on expense reports/ more time spent on value-creation.
