Marketing Communications Manager
I serve in a leadership role as the department manager for the talented marketing team at The Bank of Missouri and as the official back-up and support to the VP of Marketing. I strive to encourage collaboration, team work, and professional development. I write copy, helped draft and direct the design of numerous marketing materials, and proof-read final print and online projects, while working with the team to ensure deadlines are met. I also write the majority of corporate communications for various members of executive management. I assist in writing, producing and creating corporate videos and oversee the work generated by the bank's new Social Media Coordinator. Additionally, I serve as the main liaison between the department and the external bank branches and community bank presidents, as I work to improve communication among our growing bank family. That's the official job description; now, here's my version: it is my goal to encourage and inspire my teammates to produce clever, strategic financial marketing materials. Marketing is hard work, the deadlines are constant, and public scrutiny is ever-present. Therefore, I feel it is my job to ensure our team sticks to strategic goals, keeps churning out clever marketing materials, and treats each other with kindness and mutual respect along the way. Oh, and if we can share a few laughs while working under pressure, then that defines a great day at work for me. I am an optimist with level-headedness to keep me grounded.
