About Lauren Moore

Multi-disciplinary wildlife conservationist with a plethora of research, policy, and international project management experience. I'm fortunate to have worked across academia, NGOs, zoos, private sector and with government organisations, which gives me theoretical knowledge, technical and practical field skills relevant to help combat the current nature and climate crises. My research and project background centres on species behavioural ecology, such as migration, invasive species, genetics, and species responses to habitat change such as deforestation, tourism, and hydroelectricity dams. More recently, my PhD focused on the impacts of linear infrastructure (roads, railways, powerlines) on wildlife internationally and UK-focused.As an applied conservationist, I work towards identifying, implementing and evaluating solutions to environmental issues. In the past, I have worked on projects involving community forest action plans, nature-based solutions, species reintroductions, and built infrastructure such as road tunnels.I have an interest and experience in conservation efforts both in the UK, as well as on the inter- and supra-national stage.
