Provided leadership in the restructuring and strengthening of community projects that were empirically successful for many years but needed a technical foundation for increased government funding. Participated in the establishment of a new government initiative to promote peace and non-violence amongst youth and the larger community. Using the arts, culture, sports and other tools to bring education on peaceful conflict resolution, changing of gender roles that lead to gender violence and promoting a culture of respect for diversity, human rights and peaceful living. Coordinated the activities of the Centre, running point on logistics and communication with stakeholders. These included local government, community organizations, NGOs, central government institutions and local communities.

Re-defined and strenghtened the Carer Support Program at Barnardos Canberra. Led a collaborative process to establish care plans for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse clients. Culminated a long project to review all policies and procedures of the Out of Home Care programs.

I supported foster carers in their caring role by providing advice and connecting to relevant services. Advice given was mainly in the area of Behavioural Management, using my qualifications in Psychology and in the "Positive Parenting Program". Conducted assessments for different purposes for new and existing care givers. Facilitated support groups, which included social and learning groups.

Two year MBA with Research Project. Graduated with distinction. Strong focus on team work and deliberation to create innovative solutions. Case study based analysis of companies in both mature and emerging economies. Completed research in the Effects that HIV/AIDS has on the performance of small and medium businesses in a South Johannesburg suburb. Built a network of professionals in the NGO and Public Health sector and Business Managers in order to make recommendations that could assist in reversing the effects of HIV/AIDS on business performance and in improving health and social outcomes for workers.

I provided “consulting type” services in gender mainstreaming in community development projects. As a 5th year Psychology student I completed a one year Participation-Action-Research project at ACEPESA.
