My name is Lauren Mott and I am currently a student at Texas Tech University striving to get a Bachelor's degree in Human Development Family Studies. My passion is to be able to help children in distress of life's difficulties. Children are a blessing to this world and our society's next generation. Children are important in my every day life because I feel and see the happiness they bring into my life. I have a passion for children in distress because no matter what situation a child may be in--there is always a smile on their face. I want to be the one to bring the smile on the the children's face and to help the child and it's family cope and get through life's difficulties successfully and healthy. My passion is to be a Child Life Specialist because I want to be the person who a family can point and say SHE helped us.. SHE helped our child go from ill and sad point to happy and living. I first found my passion for children when I was in high school and started working at Cobblestone Learning Center. This was a daycare in my hometown that I was able to get to enjoy and experience many children and the happiness they bring me. I started out as a assistant teacher while I was still in high school and eventually worked my way up as a lead teacher during a summer away from college. This job and leadership really showed me the passion I have for kids and how much I want to help kids in distress become successful, happy, and healthy adults.
