I founded Studio Humankind® as a global branding and design agency to specialize in ethical storytelling for organizations tackling complex social issues around the globe. Our team develops strong foundations for deeply-rooted causes at the forefront of social justice that drive our world toward action. We help organizations establish a consistent and trustworthy brand, as well as increase their donations through strategic, conversion-driven website design and educational storytelling.

Consulted and helped plan phases for large-scale website development project, managed design and development phases, as well as supported user acceptance testing and feedback. Guided deployment and launch, in addition to post-launch support. Additionally developed core brand templates and infographics for internal organizational use, as well as ongoing marketing and communications graphics for promotional use across media platforms.

Developed and conducted interviews, surveys, asset reviews, analytics reviews, UX assessments, desk research, and additional research to support our clients' mission and further amplify their outreach. Designed and lead remote UX workshops to focus around a range of engagement strategies that help teams uncover, understand, and execute effective digital strategies to achieve goals, as well as translating data from discovery, research, goals, and insights into strategy. Created strategy briefs and other deliverables that ultimately will support engagement, education, and inspiration of audiences to act on important social impact issues. and have worked to develop strategies that make those impact possible through content, navigation, features and functionality, and engagement models.

Created visual design for content management systems, as well as developed visual design systems for client websites. Acted as project leader and with acute attention to detail including pixel-perfect layouts following brand standards for website planning and accessibility.

Co-designed their 2024 Emergency Watchlist report, including more than 70 pages, as well as supporting materials for their winter campaign. Implemented the evolution of IRC’s brand through design concepts, market testing and by establishing and modifying style guides, design kits, graphic libraries and templates. Provided visual brand oversight to global markets ensuring the use of their brand identity met or exceeded guidelines and maintained brand consistency throughout all projects.

Created WCAG 2.1 AA+ accessible websites, digital campaign materials, social media, email templates, and other web-based assets for our nonprofit clients. Helped lead creative discovery sessions and provided innovative and inspired designs that delivered on defined strategy detailed in projects. Maintained the Firefly brand on all marketing materials and ongoing communication with their clients.

Served as an adjunct professor for KU’s J300: Visual Design & Communication class, as well as supported development of course materials, content preparation, and grading.

Developed monthly social calendars for a variety of clients using social tools and implement into media platforms. Created media writing assets for digital publication, as well as photography and alternate multimedia for content strategy. Organized events for hundreds of guests and develop communications with local influencers and publications.

Managed administrative tasks, organize and prepared collateral for their fall conference, monthly contests, social media, and organized materials. Organized event planning for thousands of members, administered KSPA's contest system and announced results.
