As Senior Manager, Investor for Catalyst by Wellstar, the innovation and venture arm of the Wellstar hospital system, I am deeply immersed in healthcare startup activity. Catalyst invests in pre-seed, seed, and Series A companies. My responsibilities span the entire investment process, from sourcing promising startups to conducting screening calls and leading due diligence efforts. I write investment memos and present these investment proposals to our investment committee for approval. Finally, I nurture relationships with the founders we choose to support ongoing.

While transitioning to the startup ecosystem to expand my knowledge base, I embarked on the entrepreneurial journey by founding Bloomly, a garden design and delivery business, amid the pandemic. Leveraging Shopify, I established an online store and utilized a marketing tool to disseminate newsletters and product updates to customers. With a hands-on approach, I personally curated the flower selection, managed deliveries, and addressed customer inquiries, gradually expanding our offerings to include outdoor potted arrangements. Although Bloomly didn't yield significant profits, the experience proved invaluable in honing my entrepreneurial skills and deepening my understanding of business ownership, aligning with my long-term aspirations.

I reviewed startup applications, selecting those with the most promise to pitch to our group of ATA investors. Conducting due diligence was a important part of my responsibilities, ensuring that our investors received comprehensive insights. My dedication and contributions were recognized when I was nominated to serve on the Board after just one year of service.

Tasked with spearheading product development as the company emerged from the innovative venture capital studio, Juxapose, I focused on refining the beta experience with a specialization in wealth management. My expertise guided the design process, ensuring the product met the high industry standards and client expectations. While my tenure at Earned (formerly Forme) was fulfilling, an new opportunity emerged.

Transitioning from SignatureFD to WasteWizer Technologies was a pivotal decision driven by two key factors. Firstly, I recognized the necessity of fully committing to a startup environment in order to effectively contribute to the company's growth. Secondly, I was eager to shift my career towards the startup space and/or venture capital ecosystem. By immersing myself in the startup environment, I not only facilitated the company's progress but also gained the knowledge necessary to prepare me for my next career move. Joining forces with the founding team, I built and executed the marketing, and business development efforts. From prospect meetings to pricing strategies, I played a key role in securing the first three paying customers and laying the groundwork for a strong marketing strategy.

As Director of Client Experience at SignatureFD, I was recruited to enhance the business model and streamline operations. By interviewing every team member and facilitating design thinking sessions, I identified opportunities to optimize client satisfaction and internal processes. Notably, I led the creation and deployment of an intranet website, significantly improving communication and efficiency for our 100+ employees. Additionally, I revamped financial planning and investment proposal documents and client interactions, ensuring excellence across our $5 billion assets under management.
