The Appellate Division found in favor of the Association's statutory interpretation, that transferred time deserves the same treatment as time worked as a State Trooper. • Successfully argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court on behalf of East Rutherford PBA, granting deference to an arbitrator's award to interpret contract language. • Representation of public sector labor unions in negotiations for collective bargaining agreements. • Extensive experience litigating grievance arbitrations and unfair labor practices with the Public Employment Relations Commission and the American Arbitration Association.• Representation of employees in disciplinary proceedings before the Office of Administrative Law. • Brief writing and oral arguments before the New Jersey Superior Court in several counties, including Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Passaic, and Mercer, as well as before the Appellate Division.• Brief writing and oral arguments before the Supreme Court of New Jersey.• Recently filed a Petition for Certification to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the various unions which represent the New Jersey State Troopers appealing the decision of the New Jersey Supreme Court which unconstitutionally denied public employees a contractual right to receive pension contributions by the State.
