Lauren Rayner Davis, Esq. holds a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California. Lauren is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia and is currently a senior associate at Rottenberg Lipman Rich, P.C. (RLR) where she counsels clients and litigates matters involving a wide range of labor and employment, intellectual property, and entertainment law issues. Prior to joining RLR, Lauren worked as an associate at a national law firm, Peckar & Abramson, P.C., in its labor and employment practice group. Lauren served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Greta Gooden Brown in the Appellate Division of New Jersey Superior Court, and clerked for the Honorable James Den Uyl in the Civil Division.During law school, Lauren worked as a judicial intern in the chambers of the Honorable Victor Marrero in United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She worked for a year as a legal intern at Viacom in the Business & Legal Affairs group for the networks of MTV, VH1, CMT, TVLand, and Spike, followed by working for the law firm of Engel Thornburgh & McCarney LLP as a Summer Associate. She also served on the executive editorial board of the Brooklyn Law Review. Lauren's law review note critiquing federal trade secrets legislation was published by the Brooklyn Law Review in fall 2017. An article she co-authored about trends in trade secrets law was published by Law360 in fall 2018.Prior to the study of law, Lauren built her career as an independent freelance producer and produced over 75 productions for stage, film, television, and live events. While working in the entertainment industry, she contracted artists through negotiations with agents of Oscar, Tony, and Emmy winners, secured options for theatrical properties, films, television series, and music licenses, and consulted on strategy for investor financing. She also has ample experience in the not-for-profit sector including drafting funding proposals with grants awarded from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, New York City’s Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Princess Grace Foundation, among others. Lauren has also enjoyed leading workshops, guest lecturing, and speaking for courses at Harvard University, New York University, Fashion Institute of Technology, and Yale University.
