• Provide direct client services to clients seeking temporary, short term crisis housing• Engage with clients in a supportive manner, utilizing trauma informed care, harm reduction principles and de-escalation techniques• Work collaboratively with local agencies, such as police, mental health and addictions workers, emergency rooms, harm reduction and outreach and personnel• Responsible for the approval of diversion, intake and discharge procedures• Ensure that the facility is clean, maintained and organized

• Support clients in the New Step Program, including support in accessing housing• Assist clients in connecting to their local community, including identifying community resources and free community events that develop a sense of community belonging• Identify, develop and maintain collaborative and effective partnerships with external community agencies to support the needs of transitional housing residents• Maintain individual resident records that clearly outline resident plans and accomplishments• Decision-making in emergency/crisis situations and according to agency protocols.

• Provide assistance to the Interprofessional Simulation Lab Technicians • Prepare and maintain laboratory classroom and equipment for nursing, paramedic, firefighter, personal support worker, and developmental support worker programs• Utilize appropriate technological tools that support the learning environment

• Provide assistance to testing centre Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, and Paramedics• Perform nasopharyngeal swabs • Respond to public inquiries and direct persons to appropriate resources regarding current isolation protocols and accessing testing results

• Screen patients, staff and visitors at hospital entrances using appropriate screening tools• Provide assistance and information to visitors and patients upon arrival to the hospital• Comply with Infection prevention and control principles including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment• Ensure that all persons entering the facility follow proper precautionary measures and wear the correct protective apparel as required
