As a Lead Traffic Engineer and Transport Planner, I'm responsible for the supervision of professional staff and direction of traffic engineering projects: traffic impact assessments, traffic surveys, access schemes and feasibility studies for expansions and new developments.I am also in charge of developing a new and innovative activity, based on a real time technology and traffic big data, enabling concrete characterization of traffic conditions and congestion. I am responsible for leading the KEO Traffic Management and Road Safety Audit Team on the North Road Service Corridor Enhancement project and for supervising the contractor on its duties for enhancing safety on construction site and delivering standard complying project.The project which starts from existing junction N5 in the south of Al Shamal Road and ends junction N96 in the North, includes:• Construction and improvements of service roads, 95.2 km on both sides,• Construction or improvements of 22 interchanges, including 5 new or fully re-designed interchanges with bridges,• Construction of dedicated pedestrian and cycle lanes and bridges across the North Road.Involved in management and supervision activities such as:• Organising the team’s activities, writing procedures, letters, planning, tracking and recording events, driving KPIs, monthly reporting the team’s activity to the client.• Reporting traffic and road safety issues to the Senior Resident Engineer and proposing improvements.• Supervising, reviewing (compliance to Qatar Standards) and approving the contractor’s submittals on its duties for Traffic Diversion Plan (TDP), TM and RSA.• Supervising, reviewing (compliance to Qatar Standards) and approving the contractor’s submittals on its duties for traffic signage, directional signage, road marking, lighting, guardrail plan, from the detailed design drawings to the as built drawings.• Liaising with the KEO inspectors to ensure that uniform high standards are maintained across all the works.• Road safety observation, counselling and presentations to driver forums, driver groups, vehicle maintenance staff, their supervisors, both contractor and company, on a wide variety of road safety topic (tyre safety, load restraining, driver conditions and common violation etc…).• Road traffic accident investigations, accident analysis. and reporting.

The Sharq Programme Management Consultancy Services project comprises three Separate iconic bridge sections (designed by Santiago Calatrava) located in the Doha Bay. Bridges are connected by an immersed tube tunnel of some 6 km providing an expressway of three lanes in each direction. This major infrastructure will largely modify the traffic management on the Doha road network.Roles: Responsible for managing of the Traffic Consultant Contracts on the Concept Design Phase on the Sharq Crossing Programme. Technical expert for reviewing the Traffic Engineering (Traffic Impact Study - TIS), Temporary Traffic Management (TTM), Traffic Diversion Plan (TDP) and Road Safety Audit (RSA).Involved in programme management activities such as:• Managing Traffic Consultant contracts, organising progress meetings, leading workshops with the Sharq Crossing Project Team, writing letters, weekly and monthly reporting…• Managing time scheduling, and liaising with stakeholders (MoT, MMUP, CPO, MoI, Ashghal, Katara, NDIA, Navy Base…) to resolve traffic issues.• Attending meetings with client and local authorities, preparing and delivering presentations, writing minutes.• Writing internal technical memorandums and reports.• Organising workflow review process and reviewing technical reports from the Traffic Consultant.• Working with the Construction Team to define phasing relative to Temporary Traffic Management, interacting with the Traffic Consultant.• Defining the wide and local transport strategy in the Sharq Crossing Logistics Plan.• Defining the wide and local transport strategy in the Sharq Crossing Labour Accommodation Plan.
