Immune checkpoint biomarkers discovery and BRCA1/2 mutation screening for breast and ovarian cancer

My research group is looking at new “actionable” cancer targets in lung, breast and colorectal cancers by integrating data from large-scale functional screens and clinical cancer genomic data; with a special focus on the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway. To ensure a rapid translation of our findings into the clinic, my work uses state of the art technology and clinically relevant patient tumor data. Ultimately, our aim is to discover small molecules or drugs to inhibit this important cancer pathway and improve cancer therapy management.Thanks to a highly driven team and a growing collaborative network we have identified new putative oncogenes, which I predict could be ideal therapeutic targets to repress this pathway in cancer.
