About Laurent Blondé
Principal Scientist with more than 80 GRANTED patents. Laurent Blondé, PhD, is an intuitive, creative, deductive, engineer, researcher and team worker with a multi-disciplinary palette of technical skills. With a background in Optics, he has been exploring and inventing in image processing and special effects, color and depth perception, cinema projection, lightfield imaging and, now, nanophotonics. These topics all share the common goal to contribute to the advent of augmented reality technologies.Contributing to projects in the image science and immersive domains, he develops knowledge and new understanding resulting in intellectual property. He has been leader of two notable exploratory projects at the origin of continuing projects. One on the development of colorimetric observer models to solve the color mismatch and disagreement issues with displays. Another on the deviation of light waves at nanoscale to create a new breed of optical components. Here the goal is to design innovative optical functions based on a newly discovered light deviation phenomenon. Such functions target the future of augmented reality glasses and of a variety of applications in sensors, displays, solar cells, optical computing (see EP3223063A1 and EP3223062A1). Main characteristics:Analytic and synthetic thinking, problem solving skills, rich imaginationInsightful, with unusual ideas, creativity, connecting seemingly unrelated ideasLearns new things rapidly, grasps mathematical/scientific concepts readilyComplex and deep thoughts, abstract thinker, modest anyway
Listed skills include Visionary, Display Technology, Digital Cinema, Optics, and 44 others.
