Wild Harvest Nature Connection offered an internship opportunity I took for credit through Edgewood College. I was an assistant mentor in a 'family saplings group' from fall to spring and after completing the internship, I mentored for a 'saplings group' in August 2018, and in 2019 as a paid position.

My internship included researching horticulture therapy, visiting various sites that exampled different groups, and utilizing horticultural therapy on a weekly basis at the VA Hospital. The VA's Community Living Center's garden gave veterans a place to visit, where we would talk and tend to the plants together.
