Lauren Thomas Priest is an accomplished leader with a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management and over 12 years of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropy sectors. Her experience in the nonprofit sector includes direct service, community outreach, and community organizing; program planning, management, and evaluation; skilled volunteer and staff management; resource development, fundraising, and grant writing and management.During her time in philanthropy, Lauren has gained experience in strategic grantmaking, including convening and relationship building, using an equity lens across bodies of work, and developing and implementing strategies for systemic change. These strategies include narrative change and public policy advocacy; support for innovative programming and solutions; and deploying resources to support an infrastructure of nonprofits and other stakeholders working towards a shared goal.Earlier in her career, Lauren was awarded a Northeast Ohio Top 25 Under 35 Movers and Shakers Award from the Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club, and a 30 Under 30 Nonprofit Leader Award from the Atlanta chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professional Network. In 2023, she was selected to serve as a Hull Fellow- the South's premier philanthropic leadership development program- by Philanthropy Southeast.Lauren has recently been published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Saporta Report; and interviewed on 11Alive, Atlanta News First, WABE’s A Closer Look with Rose Scott, WRFG’s Progressive News Hour, and WAOK with Maria Boynton.
