Together with the J. Van Belle family I founded Green est. Capital in 2021. In a nutshell: We are investing in commercial real estate as a family office. But I do not take the word “Investing” literally as it means much more than “investing money”. I believe the investment can have a larger meaning. We should all invest in the future of our planet, a greener planet, a planet for us and our children. By buying and upgrading commercial real estate with that long term thinking approach we are different than other retail investors. By keeping my eyes on the prize (don’t take that literal either ;-)) we’re taking into account the well-being of our tenants and their customers. A sustainable approach is essential in terms of our investments. We are constantly looking for greener solutions for our commercial retail. Thanks to my experience as a co-owner of Krëfel I have expertise and a unique vision on the future of the commercial real estate sector. Today we at Green est. Capital are expanding our retail map in Belgium on a yearly base, permanently investing in green energy and in continuous dialogue with our tenants to help them to become greener.

As co-owner of Krëfel I was on the board of our family real estate structure with out-of-town retail shops as a part of our own real estate portfolio.

During the transition after selling the family business, I was involved in the first steps of the integration with United B (Holding of Family Mulliez including Boulanger and Electo Depot) and I helped drawing the first lines of the new business strategy.Simultaneously I continued my former role as member of the executive committee where I represented different internal units such as general strategy, purchase, customer service and defining the strategy of Krëfel’s kitchen department.

Since I was born and raised in this family business, Krëfel runs through my veins. I was a member of the board for over 9 years.Some key moments during this period:2012: Acquisition of Hifi International, a +45M Luxemburg Retail chain of 13 shops and website (Spector Group) 2014: Acquisition of Darty Luxembourg and merging into Hifi International.We merged to an even stronger new entity after rebranding the company and the shops, implementing a solid e-commerce platform and building our new +5.000 sqm HQ in Contern, Luxembourg. We created a powerful omni channel retailer with a +50% marketshare. 2017: Acquisition of a +10M IT Retail specialist (Tones) + integration in the Krëfel group structure.2019: The Krëfel group +450M was sold to Family Mulliez in November 2019.

I was in charge of internal services such as digital marketing, general marketing, and customer service (transformed into customer happiness) while being on the position of Director of Purchase at the same time.In a competitive landscape and a fast growing company I made sure our services evolved following a lean and mean strategy where customer is king, the client is the central starting point of our business strategy. Together with the digital and customer service team we followed this strategy by applying, among other things, 3 methods:One of the integrated tools for this new way of working was with Salesforce. We merged krëfel.be to SAP S/4Hana with a very successful deploy to a +100M revenue and top 20 most visited website in Belgium.We upscaled the availability and NPS of our Customer Happiness Team with new software and integrated an external partner (Call-It Oostende)This approach resulted in Krëfel being one of the beloved top of mind brands and a preferred partner for most of our 150 suppliers such as Samsung, Miele, Dyson, Apple, and many more.

I had the immense opportunity to join the family business which my grand-father started in 1958. I dedicated myself in my job as a Business Development Manager for our family company Krëfel as from 2011. During these two years I founded our B2B department, contracted new suppliers and electro categories and I designed our digital strategy with a brand new digital team. And before you ask, rumor has it that Krëfel is German but I can assure you my grand-father was born and raised in Anderlecht, Brussels. The HQ of Krëfel nowadays can be found in Humbeek, Grimbergen.
