I am passionate about Grids, Renewable integration and digital technologies as enablers of the needed climate change mitigation in modern societies. I have through my career developed essential skills and values - leadership, program and risk management, facilitation, result orientation, integrity, courage – to efficiently cover General Management roles in these domains as well as have established relevant networks among key international institutions (in Europe particularly).I am currently transitioning from the role of Secretary-General of ENTSO-E, the association of European Transmission System Operators, heading the ENTSO-E staff team. ENTSO-E fosters collaboration among TSOs in critical areas of Pan European System Development, Power System Operation as well as Electricity Market design. ENTSO-E supports and advises the European Commission and ACER on strategic mandates to enable the European energy transition towards #Netzero targets by 2050. Among these tasks, ENTSO-E is also responsible to implement necessary Pan-European IT infrastructures (such as the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform or the Platform to share Operationnal data accross European TSOs).Previously, I was the Smart Grid Strategy Leader at GE Grid Solutions. I spent 18 years at Alstom, where I worked his way up from Alstom Hydro and Thermal Plant Controls in North America to become Vice President for Smart Grid Solutions with the responsibility to develop Alstom’s offer on the Smart Grid segment. I am a member of several strategic industry committees working on Smart Grids and contributes to a number of expert advisory taskforces to the European Commission on the topics of Generation, Grid and Storage applications.
