Client Care: Virtual nutrition counselling services offered to a diverse client population on chronic disease management and prevention including, but not limited to: digestive health, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and weight management. I leveraged my Communications & Knowledge Translation background to provide exemplary client-centered care, including structured guidance on behaviour change and meal planning, to support long-term goal management. My approachable and professional nature allowed me to easily establish rapport and maintain client trust. I collaborated with 18 other virtual dietitians to support the implementation of the pilot virtual dietitian program, and demonstrated proficiency to succeed in independent work environments.Project Management: I also supported the implementation of the "Future of Pharmacy" and "Clinical Corner" pilots amongst the new dietitian team. The "Future of Pharmacy" initiative required cross-business collaborations with senior leadership, senior management, and pharmacy teams to plan, deliver, and market this collaborative in-person client care experience in select Shoppers Drug Mart locations - with a primary focus on diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and weight management. In the "Clinical Corner" continuing education initiative, I collaborated with two other dietitians to plan, develop, and deliver eight-week continuing education series on pre-diabetes and obesity management. Intended outcomes included increased best practice awareness and application amongst the dietitian team to support evidence-based, client-centered care.

Exceptional in-person and virtual dietitian services offered in seven stores between the Zehr's Markets, Fortino's and Loblaw Market banners during my Loblaw career, concluding as In-Store Dietitian Loblaw Glen Erin & Loblaws Heartland in Mississauga, ON. In these roles, I collaborated with a team of 65-85 dietitians, senior management, and other business and community stakeholders to deliver a unique retail dietitian experience. Strong work ethic, marketing, and communication skills were applied daily to build up my practice within the National In-Store Dietitian Team. I leveraged my communications and knowledge translation background to effectively deliver simple, concise, and impactful nutrition education and client-centered care on a variety of topics, including (but not limited to): diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal nutrition, digestive health, weight management, family meal planning, and behavior change. I was consistently recognized for my empathy, active listening, coaching and relationship-building skills in positive client feedback surveys, including winning the first-ever OSAT Customer Service Award amongst my regional & national teams. Project management: I also gained invaluable communications & project management experiences within my retail and corporate role. This included leading a variety of working groups and pilot projects to support program innovation and growth. Examples include leadership of the "Continuing Education" working group, focused on team professional development - which provided key skills of team management, vendor collaborations, budget management, project planning, and project management., Other example projects included developing in-person and virtual workshops, educational resource development, social media initiatives, cooking classes, B2B presentations, and pharmacy collaborations. In-person diabetes education provided for individuals and groups diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and Gestational Diabetes within the hospital Diabetes Education Centre. Type 1 Diabetes experience also gained. Consistent communication and knowledge translation skills applied to deliver clear, concise, and impactful nutrition education - including personalized meal planning and lifestyle coaching to improve blood glucose control and prevent or delay disease progression. Multidisciplinary collaborations also required to for impactful client-centered care. In-patient diabetes education also provided to support new onset disease management, or discharge preparation. Additional rotations completed in the hospital Complex Continuing Care & Rehabilitation units. Bloodwork monitoring, meal planning, enteral and parental nutrition interventions required amongst collaborative multidisciplinary client-centered care.
