The Public Health Associate Program (PHAP) is a competitive, two-year, paid training program with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As a part of this program, I have been placed in the Minnesota Department of Health as a member of the Center for Health Equity.Through my role as a public health associate at the MN Department of Health, I have had the opportunity to engage in the following activities:- Contract Management for 7 community-based organizations conducting COVID-19 testing, vaccination and recovery work across the state of MN. - Qualitative and quantitative data management and analysis as a part of evaluation reports across two grant programs-Financially managing over 50 grantees through two separate grant programs-Assisting in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the Eliminating Health Disparities Initiative -Providing culturally relevant COVID-19 weekly communications materials to over 13,000 subscribers
