I also guide the maintenance of City of Eugene natural areas by working closely with natural area operations staff, developing natural area management plans, and facilitating two resource teams, one for waterway sites and one for "dispersed natural areas". Other duties include grant writing, grant reporting, contract development, project management, regulatory compliance reporting, and Arc GIS mapping. I oversee the City's native plant nursery, which produces native seed and plants with local genetics that are planted out into City natural areas. I continue to participate on several regional natural resource technical committees, namely the upper Willamette chapter of the Oregon Native Turtle Working Group, the Willamette Cooperative Weed Management Area, and the Willamette Aquatic Invasives Network.
