I continue to oversee habitat restoration project with a focus on waterways and riparian habitats. I also guide the maintenance of City of Eugene natural areas by working closely with natural area operations staff, developing natural area management plans, and facilitating two resource teams, one for waterway sites and one for "dispersed natural areas". Other duties include grant writing, grant reporting, contract development, project management, regulatory compliance reporting, and Arc GIS mapping. I oversee the City's native plant nursery, which produces native seed and plants with local genetics that are planted out into City natural areas. I continue to participate on several regional natural resource technical committees, namely the upper Willamette chapter of the Oregon Native Turtle Working Group, the Willamette Cooperative Weed Management Area, and the Willamette Aquatic Invasives Network.

Was one of key staff involved with a nearly decade long, multi-million dollar restoration project at Delta Ponds along the Willamette River. Managed Access volunteer database, assisted with stream enhancement, native plant salvage, invasive species removal, seed collection, storm drain stenciling, and garbage clean up; worked with diverse volunteers, including school children, college students, community adoption groups, and individuals.

Upper Willamette Watershed District, Oregon

Appointed by the governor to represent the upper Willamette Watershed District on a 13 member advisory committee to ODFW and the Fish and Wildlife Commission. Reviewed ODFW policies and made recommendations concerning the implementation of the department’s Salmon and Trout Enhancement Program (STEP). Attended quarterly STAC meetings, participated in local STEP activities, reviewed grants, and provided support for STEP program locally and state wide.

Marcola, Oregon

Provided technical expertise to and facilitated meetings of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Education & Outreach Committee, and Projects Committee. Coordinated Partnership events, including an annual community barbeque, educational workshops, tours, garbage clean-up events, tree & shrub plantings, and water quality monitoring. Acted as the liaison between the Partnership, the McKenzie Watershed Council, agencies, local organizations, and residents.

I spent the first couple years as the office coordinator, managing office systems, overseeing membership services, coordinating the publication of bimonthly newsletter, participating in annual fund raising event planning, and assisting with grant writing. I also oversaw the Trips & Tours program by recruiting and training trip leaders/assistants and coordinating registration and logistics for over 30 paddle trips a year. After proving myself I moved into a role as the restoration coordinator where I conducted outreach to rural communities to increase awareness of watershed restoration opportunities, coordinated a salmon carcass placement project along the upper Tualatin River, helped implement a streamside restoration training program targeting the Latino community, and provided resources to community-based restoration efforts, including a mobile restoration tool bank. Completed Clean Water Services/SOLV Advanced Stream Enhancement Training.
