As a member of the lighting design community for many years I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to touch many people’s lives with the use of light. My BA in Interior Design provided the foundation of my interest to use light to shape environments. To establish a more technical understanding of lighting I worked with a lighting manufacturer, and from there my experiences expanded to working with an A/E firm, a lighting consulting firm, and now a lighting studio within a large engineering firm. This breadth of work experiences has translated in to a variety of project experiences ranging from civic buildings, to worship spaces, historical preservation projects, retail and casino environments, and most recently to many healthcare, research, and educational facilities. PIVOTAL® is the internal, architectural lighting design group of Affiliated Engineers. For more than a decade AEI has provided our clients and architectural partners with lighting design service capabilities that "bridge the gap" - between architecture and engineering; between art and science; between creative expression, technical expertise and execution; between basic physiological needs, aesthetics of the built environment and environmental stewardship. Our group is made up of a diverse group of professional designers and we welcome the opportunity to not only work on projects occurring within AEI, but also as independent consultants.
