Based in China for the past 13 years, I will say now that I am “almost”a local. I have grown and became who I am today while China was becoming the great country that we all know now. I have been seeing all the changes and was adjusting and moving along them. I am talking here about the economy, the technology, the environment, the opening to the rest of the world and so on... China is for me one of the most interesting market to study and I am one of the lucky one to have had the chance to witness it. Quite early, I have decided to focus my career in the retail industry. Started in Carrefour China and moved to the other side “the supplier”. Learning and understanding the market is what I do from the smallest to the biggest retailer. Knowing how to adapt according to each retailer, final consumers, areas … Create a partnership which will be different than the others in order for it to become a strong and real collaboration. This will be through a lot of plannings and hard work but this is the only way to achieve your goals. Well, I can say that I found my happiness in that industry and to go a bit deeper in what I do, I chose wine as my number one category. Developing the wine industry in China and Asia is what I have been working on specifically. Knowing the global wine market, the needs and what to offer to each retailer is my daily work and I am very happy to do it. Any new partner knows that they can count on me to be dedicated in my work and to always find the best options and solutions for them.This is a short summary about my life in China and my work but of course so much more to say and can’t do it all in here.
