It is with an attitude of gratitude that I am announcing my retirement from the South Bay Cities Council of Governments as of August 3, 2023. It has been a pleasure to serve our communities pursuing homelessness solutions, senior services assistance, and energy efficiency equity and implementation. I plan to continue this work addressing the needs of our neighborhoods as well as pursuing new adventures that include chillaxing on a daily basis!

Coordinate and collaborate with City, County, and State leaders across various departments to achieve equitable climate goals and policies that will address our climate crisis, and work for everyone in alignment with LA’s Green New Deal.

I served as an elected Board Member for 9 years. Now, as a homelessness liaison to my local Neighborhood Council I have the opportunity to make a difference in my community on the issues I care about most: homelessness, mental health, youth advocacy, public safety, and quality of life. Local engagement is important because no one understands a neighborhood better than the people who live, work and play there. Neighborhood Council participants are empowered to advocate directly for real change in their communities. For five years I Chaired the annual major event entitled "Pathways to Employment" which focuses on guiding harbor area youth with career guidance, job seeking skills, internship and volunteer opportunities, and job placement..

Develop, manage, and implement homeless prevention and solution programs under the Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative to help to combat the homelessness crisis throughout the South Bay cities. Network and build strategic relationships to connect those in need to housing, mental health, and related resources through government and non-profit organizations.Oversee home sharing program which matches homeowners (boomers, retirees, empty nesters, and other older adults) that are able to rent out a room or a portion of their home to a compatible qualified housemate/renter who may recently have experienced homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. Advocate for older adult programs addressing potential homelessness, mental health and health care, mobility, and other issues affecting seniors in our communities
