Teaches workshops on reading, writing, standards-based education, multiple intelligences, block schedule teaching, brain-based learning, academic literacy, PBIS, Differentiation, and Arts education. Consults with teachers one-on-one to assist with lesson development, standards-based curriculum design and motivating students. Works with districts to vertically align curriculum with state standards. Mentors new and veteran teachers.

2007-2010 Hudson Park Elementary – Rainier School District, Rainier, OregonDean of Students K-6, Gifted and Talented Education Coordinator K-12. New Teacher Mentor Coordinator K-12. District Positive Behavior Support System (PBS) coordinator for a 600 student, K-6 building. In charge of behavior and discipline matters. Trained in School-Wide Information System (SWIS), a program for collecting and analyzing student behavior data. Leads in staff meetings, coordinated an artist-in-residence week and outdoor mural installation, collaborates on creation and revision of IEPs and 504 plans. Represents the district in expulsion hearings, supervises evening events, trains staff in PBS. Coordinates Title I; II A, D; III; IV; and VIII programs for the school district. Supervises elementary counseling program. Coordinates elementary state testing and developed Camp OAKS for school improvement in math, reading and writing.
